the guardian – atlanta week, featuring graphiknation
Very excited to be asked to host an Instagram takeover this week for British-based publication The Guardian, on their page @guardiancities. The takeover features some of my favorite shots around the city, via my own cityscape and street photography, as well as some of my recent favorites from community members of my street photography meetup group, Atlanta Urban Photo Walkers. You can also find me quoted online in a few of their feature articles on the city of Atlanta this week. Here’s a short excerpt, with article links and images below:
“Atlantan photographer Lauren Holley, who founded the Atlanta Urban Photo Walkers meetup and posts herself as @graphiknation, is taking over Guardian Cities’ Instagram this week to share her local’s perspective of the city. She says Atlanta flies under the radar with most international travelers and is best known for its airport. “I think that’s kind of part of the appeal – when people end up here by chance, maybe because of a job, convention or school, they feel surprised – like they ‘discovered’ something really special about a city they never thought much of.”

GEAR:
I predominantly use Mirrorless/Micro Four Thirds cameras and lenses by Panasonic LUMIX & Olympus, and I also recently bought a Sony and have been giving that a try. You can browse all my favorite camera gear on my Amazon Influencer Page, where you’ll find links to all of my favorite cameras & lenses from LUMIX, Olympus, and Sony. I edit professionally in Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop. I post a curated collection of images consistently on my Instagram feed, or you can find even more of my professional photography on Flickr.
