for Kayla Taylor Jazz
I have had a long history of collaborating with Kayla Taylor Jazz, on their branding, album artwork and art direction for various albums, promotions, and marketing over the years. For their current branding the band was looking to create a unique, signature brand identity that would instantly visually convey the genre of classic 30s, 40s & 50s jazz standards. I studied old vintage record designs and artwork, and created an art deco-inspired logo to achieve a retro aesthetic that could evolve over time through subtle shifts in font and color tones. I have also worked closely with the band and various photographers on art directing and styling the principle photography with each unique album concept.
